At 18:00 on March 26, 2025, theCollege ofInternational Education-Xinjiang Agricultural University joined the 17th International Youth Science and Technology Conference hosted by Baltic State Technical University (Russia) via a virtual platform. Dean Chen YingjiefromtheCollege ofInternational Education led an expert delegation, including Professors Zhou Jun and Zhang Zhenguo from the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, who delivered keynote speeches on intelligent agricultural equipment and new energy technologies, respectively.

In his keynote address, Dean Chen Yingjie comprehensively showcased the university’s decade-long achievements in international education. He highlighted the upcoming International Conference on‘Industry-University-Research’Collaboration in May, which will serve as a bridge for inter-university collaborative innovation, fostering synergies in expert think tanks, joint research on core technologies, andtalent cultivation. Professor Zhou Jun, in his thematic report titledDevelopment and Innovative Practices of Agricultural Engineering at Xinjiang Agricultural University,systematically outlined the university’s progress in constructing an R&D system for intelligent agricultural machinery and advancing technological iterations of agricultural mechanization in arid regions. Associate Professor Zhang Zhenguo, in his cutting-edgereportIntelligent Perception and Precision Control Technologies for Safflower Harvesting Robots,analyzed breakthroughs in multi-modal environmental perception algorithms andselfadaptive control systems.

Throughthisconstructive discussion, the delegation from Baltic State Technical University agreed to visit Xinjiang Agricultural University in May 2025 for an on-site inspection. This high-level academic dialogueopens a new chapterin the international developmentbetween universities, laying a solid foundation for deepening global partnerships and advancing collaborative innovation.
